What do our children feel our obligation is to them?
Manaysia feels that "Children Needs" are shelter, food, clothing, education, LOVE and more importantly our parents to guide us. We need our basic needs because that is the only way you will stand on this earth with your own two feet. As a child I think that our parents need to be more supportive because some of the parents on this earth don't know how their children are talking behind their back and saying "oh my mom and dad don't care about me". their just being selfish and being a lazy parents"! So if your afraid your child is talking about you behind your back then you need to be a supportive parent. We need our parents 24/7 all day and night we need our parents so they can make us feel safe. I feel that a child who can talk to their parents have a good relationship with their parents. And should continue to interact with each other.
Question from Mother: How can we be there all day and night and we have to work to support our children, to give you food and shelter?
Manaysia: Well long as you are doing something that is good for me you can do that, but (smiling) I just want you to talk to me and tell me whats going on. This way I don't feel neglected and I can see what Mothers are suppose to do.
As a mother I believe the most imperative ingredient in a relationship with our children is communication. Sometime we take the role of being a mother as a form of control. The needs of our children is also to feel loved. I have learned that I tend to receive better benefits from Manaysia when I communicate with her. Instead of demanding a child to do something. Tell them to do a task and explain the benefit of doing that particular task. I must agree with manaysia 100%. In addition, I ask all you single parents to ask your child what do they fill their needs are? Each child and individual is different and I think we can better approach results if we know the what we need solutions to.
